2010 Neighborhood Garage Sale (Update)

District 10 is sponsoring its annual Garage Sale on Saturday, May 15!
After reading through last year’s comments and suggestions, we are going to do things a little differently this year.
Here is what we are going to do:
- District 10 will hold a sale here at the Historic Streetcar Station. People who don’t want to have a sale at their homes can rent a table for $10. This sale will go from 8 AM to 11:30 AM.
- There will be a truck from a local charitable organization here at the end of the sale, so what you don’t sell you can donate, right away! This truck will also make rounds throughout the neighborhood at the end of the day to pick up unsold items that you wish to donate.
- We will be advertising in the Pioneer Press, Star Tribune, Monitor, Bugle and on craigslist.org. In addition, flyers will be posted in coffee shops and other local businesses. The information will also be distributed through the District 10 weekly email newsletters.
- Maps will be available online, at district10comopark.org, for anyone to download by the Monday before the event.
- We will be charging $10 to be included on the map. This helps cover the cost of advertising. Please be sure to fill out and send in the Garage Sale Registration Form, along with your payment, by May 5 to be included in the sale. You can also submit your registration fee online through our Paypal link. Just click here, or on the Paypal logo at the bottom of the page, to get started. Remember to put "garage sale" in the Purpose box, and enter a donation amount of $10 or more. If you submit your payment online, you can either email, mail, or just drop off your registration form with a note saying that you paid via Paypal.
