PERMIT PARKING NOTICE

Recently neighbors west of Como Park submitted a permit parking petition to Saint Paul Public Works. This petition has proposed to install: No Parking 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 p.m., Monday thru Sunday, May 1 to September 30, Except by Permit.

The blocks requesting this permit include the following blocks: North side of Midway Pkwy from Hamline Avenue to the western property line of 1421 Midway Pkwy; South side of Midway Parkway from Hamline Avenue to the western property line of 1406 Midway Parkway; West side of Hamline Avenue from Como Avenue to Arlington Avenue; South side of Frankson Avenue from Hamline Avenue to the western property line of 1428 Frankson Avenue; North side of Frankson Avenue from Hamline Avenue to Pascal Street; Both sides of Canfield Avenue from Hamline Avenue to western dead end of Canfield Avenue.

As a result of the submitted petition, Public Works performed a parking study of the affected neighborhood. Based on its study, Public Works will make recommended changes to the submitted petition. Public Works would like to submit its recommended changes to District 10 in order to obtain input from neighbors and businesses within the District.

COME TO THE SEPTEMBER 24, 2009 MEETING

At this meeting, we will discuss the following:

  • Update on the Como Park Shuttle.
  • Public Works Parking Study Results.
  • Public Works Permit Parking Recommendations.
  • General Discussion of Permit Parking, Parking, Traffic, etc.
  • Please note – THERE WILL BE NO VOTE AT THIS MEETING CONCERNING PERMIT PARKING. This meeting is to get questions answered and see Public Works recommended changes to the already submitted permit parking. • Further note that at the Neighborhood Relations meeting of October 8, 2009 – more time will be provided to discuss the proposed plan. It will be at this meeting that neighbor’s position on the topic will be gathered to submit to the District 10 board.
