Do you stay current with the latest Como Park news and find yourself discussing local issues with your neighbors? Do you organize the occasional informal neighborhood get-together such as a potluck, a backyard campfire, or National Night Out event? Are you one of the first people to greet new residents on your street? If you answered yes to any of these questions then District 10 would like to acknowledge your efforts and help you even further. The District 10 Safety Committee is in the process of organizing a comprehensive network of block leaders and clubs throughout Como Park. The goal is to keep local residents informed and involved with the latest hot topics regarding land use, environment, and safety issues. Becoming a block leader is easy, requires minimal time commitment, and you determine the size of your “block.” Block leaders will receive District 10 bulletins affecting their immediate area, future Como Park greeting packets/coupons for new residents, and additional benefits.
Contact the District 10 Community Organizer if you want to create or join a block club.
