Don’t leave Como on the weekend of July 23-25, or you will miss out on the first annual Como Neighborhood Staycation!

The District 10 Como Community Council, Northwest Como Rec Center, Chelsea Heights PTO, and The Coffee Grounds are working together to bring you a weekend filled with family fun events.
 

Friday, July 23:

NW Como Rec Center (1515 Hamline Ave N):

• Grilled food
• Fun games and events
• Karaoke
• Talent show
• Events start @ 5:30 PM
• Free outdoor movie - "The Incredible Mr. Limpet"
  • Starts @ sunset (around 8 PM)
  • Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and bug spray!
  • Free popcorn!

The Coffee Grounds (1579 Hamline Ave N):

• Music Festival - View flyer for a list of musicians (5-8 PM)
  • Free music & parking
  • Arts & crafts
  • Used book sale
  • Face painting & Henna tattoos
  • Moon walk, inlatable joust, giant chess set, & other games
  • Astrologist
  • Door prizes
  • Free samples

Saturday, July 24:

District 10:

• Como Art Crawl (click here for more information)

• Art Crawl/Garden Tour maps are available here

NW Como Rec Center (1515 Hamline Ave N):

• Flea Market (8 AM - 2 PM)
  • Vendor sign-in starts at 7 AM
  • Click here to reserve a space in advance
  • Cost per space is $20
    • The registration fee will go towards funding the Hamline/Hoyt Playground & Community Beautification Project

The Coffee Grounds (1579 Hamline Ave N):

• Music Festival (2-11 PM)
  • Beverages & grilled food
  • Prizes

Sunday, July 25:

 Chelsea Heights Elementary (1557 Huron St):

• Bike Ride
  • Resource Fair (1-2 PM)
  • Ride Starts @ 2 PM
    • Maps will be distributed
  • FREE helmet/bike safety checks
  • Win Minnesota Twins and Saint Paul Saints tickets!
    • For bike ride participants only
    • Must be present at Coffee Grounds by 3:45 to be eligible to win
    • Drawing will take place @ around 4 PM
