Looks like finally some of these trees got the memo about fall’s arrival. It is looking lovely out there.
Give Como Lake a break this year and rake up those leaves!

2 Yoga-no snow expected this week. Should be a lovely, crisp autumn morning to enjoy stretching and posing with your neighbors!

5 Here is a City Park survey. This is short, and you can select Como if you wish. They don't indicate how they information will be used.
6 The St. Paul Senior Chore Service is an organization that understands the issues facing older adults and persons with disabilities who want to remain in their homes. They connect people to volunteers to assist them with chores such as leaf raking, mowing, snow shoveling, minor repairs. They also have connections with groups that will do house painting, both inside and out, depending on the season. They are always looking for people to assist and young people as paid workers. http://sapcc.org/senior for more info.
7 The Saint Paul Second Shift Youth Commission is the place for young people in Saint Paul to have a voice at city hall! Youth Commissioners work along side other youth and adults in city government and in the community to solve community issues and make Saint Paul the most livable city in America. The Youth Commission is currently working on community mapping, college access, and discrimination. The Youth Commission is made up of 22 youth from neighborhoods across Saint Paul.
To be a part of the city-wide youth commission I must:
• Live in the City of Saint Paul
• Be in 9th - 12th grade while serving on the commission
• Commit 6-10 hours a month and be able to meet on Monday nights
• Have the desire to make Saint Paul the best city to grow up in.

8 Come have a conversation with a Como Park’s gardener, Erik Olsen. He will be discussing putting your garden to bed for the winter, collecting/swapping seeds, and winter composting. Sunday November 8, 7pm, Java Train.
