MInutes - 9/2009
Tuesday, November 10, 2009 11:50 AM
Present: Scott Baker, William Sylvester, Barbara Frick, and Chris Harkness. Chris Martineau excused.
Agenda approved; August 2009 Minutes approved.
Barbara Frick discussed the Lexington-Larpenteur Ad Hoc Committee’s status and schedule.
One more meeting on 9/28/09 is expected before a deliverable is provided regarding the neighborhood’s comments on the Node Study. The Committee has focused solely on the Node Study and not on either the MGM situation or Pastor’s plans at this time. The traffic study is beyond the scope of the Committee's responsibilities at this time.
Scott Baker has contacted Josh Williams with comments on the City’s proposed amendments to the Small Area Plan. Land Use will continue to work with the City on appropriate language that includes or at least references the Sholom Home Ad Hoc Committee's and District 10’s recommendations without diminishing them.
The MGM Site Plan and public hearing was discussed. Land Use currently has no action to take or consider at this time, as MGM's application will likely work its way through the City’s review process. Land Use will request again that the neighborhood be flyered for the City meeting.
Variance at 840 Hoyt Avenue: Land Use has not been asked to consider any action at this time.
Chris Harkness has volunteered to chair the Land Use Committee, and the Committee will ask the Board Chair to appoint her after Ted Sheu’s vacancy in October.
New Business: the Sholom Home Ad Hoc Committee will request to be renewed for another year and at least until a buyer/tenant occupies the property.
