DISTRICT 10 COMO COMMUNITY COUNCIL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING

Meeting Minutes
Directors present: Leah Johnson, Jon Knox, Marcy Micek, Marsha Milgrom, Matt Schmitt
Staff present: Rhonda DeBough Insook, Josh Witte
I. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Leah Johnson.
II. Executive committee member roles
The four executive positions were reviewed as stated in current bylaws. No changes were proposed, other than the Vice President, who was asked to take on a bylaw review during this 1-year term.
III. Review of financial statements
A discussion of the financial reviews process took place. Committee agreed to review financial statements at each board meeting. The 2010 budget also needs to be completed.
IV. Staff Updates
A. Rhonda DeBough reported on the internship. The District intern developed a Welcome brochure.
B. The neighborhood Honor Roll is coming up. District 10 members are asked to nominate recipients.
C. Discussion of a possible Event Committee to help with hospitality in future events.
D. Pancake Breakfast results: net profit of $600.
E. Gabe’s – a letter to District 10 for noise variance was shared
V. Other Items
A. Communications Committee Chair Matt Schmitt led discussion on the use of communications.
B. Board voting. Pre-registration is required to take a community vote. The anticipated vote over parking permits will be put to on the agenda at the month’s board meeting. Executive Committee members asked what the purpose of the vote was. To take a pulse on how the neighborhood feels – the City has requested a vote or official District 10 position, although it is not required.
VI. Next Meeting
Speakers for the November board meeting include: Senior Chore services, and Ann Olson from Councilmember Helgen’s office.
