Tree Trimming - Beware of Scammers and Unlicensed Operators
Monday, April 26, 2010 3:50 PM

A message from your local Tree Advisory Panel

With spring upon us, tree trimmers will be out in force. With the Emerald Ash borer problem, we anticipate there may be many unlicensed persons going door to door.  Tree trimmers operating within Saint Paul are required to have a license from the City of Satin Paul.  This is to protect you, the property owner, and to ensure the long-term survival of your trees. The Forestry Department strongly encourages you to make sure that any tree trimmer you use is licensed by the city.

Before hiring a tree trimmer ask to see their St Paul License. If they don't have one, call another tree trimmer who is licensed.  Write down the name, vehicle description and license plate number for any unlicensed tree trimmer. Please report unlicensed tree trimmers to:

            Christine Rozek         651 266-9108

            Richard Gents            651 266-9116

If you have any questions about tree trimming, or Emerald Ash Borer, please contact the Saint Paul Forestry Department.
