Bike Trail Open House Set for June 18
Monday, June 3, 2019 10:15 AM

Another "open house" is scheduled June 18 to discuss updated plans for an off-street bike trail along Como Ave. west of Hamline.

The open house, led by representatives from Saint Paul Public Works, will be similar to an earlier event held in January. Residents will be able to drop-in anytime, review the latest sketches on recommended design options, ask questions, and share comments with project staff and consultants. The project -- part of a larger reconstruction of Como Ave. -- is scheduled for 2020 and 2021. It stretches from Hamline west to the Cleveland/Raymond intersection, as is part of the build out of Saint Paul's Grand Round. In general, the project will add an off-street trail on the north side of Como, retain existing parking between Hamline and Snelling, and narrow the road portion of the right-of-way along portions of Como.

Details: The open house is Tuesday June 18 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Como Park Streetcar Station. It precedes the monthly District 10 Como Community Council board meeting.
