The mass shootings that took place in and near Atlanta this week have grossly highlighted the racism and violence that the Asian American and Pacific Islander community -- including our neighbors here in Minnesota -- has been experiencing in increasing numbers. This is yet another example of how our systems of power embolden racism and white supremacy at the expense of our neighbors of color. The District 10 Como Community Council stands with our Asian American and Pacific Islander neighbors, and we promise to continue to break down the racist systems that have undervalued and harmed our fellow community members.

Our hearts break once again for the lives lost, the loved ones left behind, and all the dreams, potential, and love snuffed out with each victim of this hate crime.

We urge you to take action:
