We are posting crime reports on our website because the Police Department has eliminated neighborhood reports. Instead, all crime reports are now logged on an online database. Many people find this database difficult to use but, if you want to try, here's how to get started:

  • Click “Explore Data”
  • Click “View Data”
  • Click the blue “Filter” button
  • Click “Add a New Filter Condition”, then use the drop-down menu to filter for the information you are seeking (Example: If you want to find crime in your grid, select "Police Grid Number", then type in your grid. If you want to find crime during a certain time period, select "Date", select "Is Between", then pick the dates from the pop-up calendars. Note that selection criteria appear to be case sensitive.)

(Note: Community Engagement Events and Proactive Police Visits are not crimes; they generally are positive engagement among police and community members. Community Engagement Events are scheduled outreach opportunities by police. Proactive Police Visits (PPVs) are interactions with residents and/or businesses that are initiated by police officers.)
