About the Committee:
The Como Regional Park Advisory Committee (CRPAC) serves in an advisory capacity as part of the Parks and Recreation Commission and includes a variety of stakeholders, community members and regional park users. The CRPAC is instrumental in ensuring the success of activities in Como Regional Park. The committee facilitates community input regarding issues affecting the park, and forwards recommendations regarding the park to the Parks and Recreation Commission for consideration.

District 10 residents, Paul Kolias and Jim Hendrickson, are District 10’s elected representatives for the Como Regional Park Advisory Committee. Kolias and Hendrickson went through an application process, and were elected in April 2010  by the District 10 board as main representative and alternate representative (respectively). As District 10 CRPAC Representatives, Kolias and Hendrickson work closely with the District 10 - Como Community Council to act as a liaison between the council, community and the CRPAC. Membership terms will run through December 2012.

Current Projects:
The CRPAC will serve as the design advisory task force for Como Regional Park Play Area Renovation project. Project funding has been secured for the Como Regional Park Play Area for the replacement of play equipment and related site improvements that include new walks, synthetic resilient surfacing for ADA compliance, and related site landscaping. All meetings relating to the project will be open to the public and the committee encourage all those interested to participate in the design process by attending the public meetings and/or participating through project information and citizen surveys posted on the project website.

• Committee meetings are scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month for 2011 and 2012 (view calendar), and will be held at the Historic Streetcar Station from 6:30 – 8:30 PM. *Please note, since Tuesday, November 8 is Election Night the November meeting has been rescheduled for Wednesday, November 16.
