The Como Park Neighborhood is known for its gardens.  Each year, a dozen gardens are highlighted in the annual Como Park Garden Tour .  The 2014 Como Park Neighborhood Garden Tour was held on Saturday, June 21.

Neighborhood gardeners recommend these online gardening resources to help inspire and inform your gardening.

Heather Holm's excellent Restoring the Landscape with Native Plants blog covers native plants, bugs, birds, and is always a standout.

The University of Minnesota Extension's page has a wealth of information about planning your home landscape, full of links and 'how-to's.'

The Twin Cities Chapter of Wild Ones is devoted to native plants and restoring biodiversity.

Everyone's favorite perennial, the hosta, has the statewide Minnesota Hosta Society dedicated to its appreciation and an online Hosta Library.

The Minnesota State Horticultural Society, publisher of Northern Gardener magazine, has a website focused on gardening in northern climates.

Presentations from the "Creative Gardening for Urban Spaces" event, presented by the District 10 Environment Committee, also contain a wealth of information, tips, and techniques for aspring gardenings.

The neighboring St Anthony Park Garden Club hosts a variety of events throughout the year.

The Park Bugle newspaper has an interesting article entitled "The birds, the bees, the butterflies: Native insects and animals thrive when gardens feature native plants."
