The Como Park Neighborhood is known for its gardens.  Neighborhood gardeners recommend these online gardening resources to help inspire and inform your gardening.

The Como Community Seed Library collects and exchanges heirloom seeds, and is an up-to-date source for local gardening-related activities.

Heather Holm's excellent Restoring the Landscape with Native Plants blog covers native plants, bugs, birds, and is always a standout.

The University of Minnesota Extension's page has a wealth of information about planning your home landscape, full of links and 'how-to's.'

The Twin Cities Chapter of Wild Ones is devoted to native plants and restoring biodiversity.

Everyone's favorite perennial, the hosta, has the statewide Minnesota Hosta Society dedicated to its appreciation and an online Hosta Library.

The Minnesota State Horticultural Society, publisher of Northern Gardener magazine, has a website focused on gardening in northern climates.

The Park Bugle newspaper has an interesting article entitled "The birds, the bees, the butterflies: Native insects and animals thrive when gardens feature native plants."
