We're always looking for ways to keep ourselves (and others) sane -- and even smiling -- during these trying times. We hope this lawn sign helps: helps spread a little joy, helps unleash a little grace, helps inspire us, helps unite us as neighbors during this pandemic.
The Como Community Council put out a call to local artists for their ideas; they responded with more than two dozen concepts. Board members chose this sign: a design by Como resident Monique Hussey.
Now it's your turn. You can purchase the sign -- a weather-resistant corrugated plastic, complete with a metal stand. It costs us about $10 to print. We're suggesting a donation of $15. If you can't afford that much, that's OK.
Proceeds go to the Como Park Block Nurse Program, which works to handle the health-care and everyday needs of neighborhood seniors, many of whom are trapped in their homes even more than the rest of us.
To order, fill out the form below.
We'll deliver your sign (contact free, of course).
