Others Present: none
Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 7:04 p.m.
Adoption of Agenda: Motion to approve the agenda (Hinderscheit-Eyre) Passed.
Approval of Minutes: Motion to approve the minutes of the 03/04/2013 meeting. (Eyre-Harkness) Passed.
Chair Report: Kim Moon had nothing new to report at this time.
Walgreens Photos: We reviewed some photos of Como Park. We have been told by Walgreens that we can have "every other window" of the new store for photos of Como Park. Kim will clarify what this means in terms of numbers. We will submit additional photos in order to give them some choices. We will choose photos at our April 29th meeting. The Environment committee might have access to some historical photos of Como Park.
New Business: Bill Sylvester has been investigating potential community garden sites. One possibility is the land near Como and Snelling that is owned by the State of Minnesota. A community garden there may require additional insurance from District 10. MNDOT requires soil testing. Chris pointed out that there is a lack of water at that site. Chris mentioned Booth Brown House as another possible site. There may also be land in the former District 6 area that will be part of District 10. It may be time to reactivate the committee from last year. Bill will contact Ted Blank, our new staff person, in order to get the committee re-activated.
Adjourn: Motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:40 p.m. Passed.
Next Meeting: The next meeting is Monday, April 29, 2013, at Java Train.
Future Meeting Dates (Mondays at 7:00 at Java Train unless noted otherwise): 6/3, 7/1, 8/5, 9/2, 9/30, 11/4, and 12/2
