Land Use Committee Meeting Minutes

Call to Order:  The meeting was called to order at 7:02 p.m. 

Adoption of Agenda: The agenda was approved.

Approval of Minutes: Minutes of the 12/5/2011 meeting were approved.

Chair Report: Chris Harkness chaired tonight’s meeting.

The City Council has approved the residential rezoning of parts of the property of five homes on California Ave. for the Walgreens commercial development on the current MGM site.  Vacating the alley has not yet been approved.

City Council has passed the ordinance controlling the amount of window space that can be obscured by signage; voting against the staff report and the recommendation of District 10.

New Business:  Java Train liquor license issue is coming before the City Council on Wednesday, January 4th.

2012 Land Use Work Plan:  The 2012 Work Plan has been revised, reviewed and adopted by the committee.

Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 7:25 p.m.

Future Meeting Dates:  The next meeting is Monday, January 30, 2012, at Java Train.
