Below is the body of an email I received on 8/13/10 from Rich Pakonen, one of the developers, with an update on the plans for the former Sholom Home site:
"Thank you very much for staying in touch.
We have spent a tremendous amount of time on this project. It is unfortunately taking longer than I had originally anticipated. At this point we are optimistic about the deal and the ability to address the neighbors’ core concerns. I hope to be in a position where we can present good options to the District Council/neighbors in the next few weeks.
